History of the Bank

՛՛ID Bank՛՛ CJSC was founded on August 1, 1990, by enterprises in the light industry sector as a joint-stock commercial bank and received the Banking license on January 10, 1991. In 1996, "Anelik" Joint-Stock Commercial Bank was registered and started operating as "Anelik Bank" Limited Liability Company.
In 2007, "Anelik Bank" LLC was reorganized into a Closed Joint-Stock Company.
By the decision of the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders on December 22, 2017, "Anelik Bank" CJSC was renamed to "ID Bank" CJSC, and as of June 4, 2018, it operates under its new corporate name.
''ID Bank'' CJSC is a universal commercial bank actively participating in and contributing to the improvement of the country's socio-economic level.

  • The Bank joined the loan program of “Eurasia” Fund.
1999
  • The Bank joined the loan program of German-Armenian Fund.
  • The Bank joined the loan program of International Organization for Migration.
2000
  • The Bank was awarded the RA Government prize in the sphere of quality.
  • “Anelik Bank” CJSC’s branch in Moscow was licensed by the RF Central Bank.


2001
  • The Bank became a member of SWIFT system.
  • The Bank became a Shareholder of “Armenian Card” company.
  • The Bank was awarded the “The Gold Medal of French manufacturers’ Assistance Association”.
  • The Bank joined the loan program of the US Agricultural Department’s Marketing assistance organization.
2002
  • The Bank joined the loan program of EBRD.
2003г․
  • Opening of “Arabkir” branch of the Bank.
  • The Bank became a member of "MasterCard International" international system.
  • Subsidiary of the Bank “Anelik Ru” LLC was registered by the RF Central Bank.
  • Cooperation with the USAID.
2004
  • Opening of “Nor Nork” branch of the Bank.
2005
  • Loan agreement with Commerzbank concluded with the guarantee of KFW Bank.
  • Organization of the II International Conference dedicated to monetary transfers (Yerevan).
  • Acquisition of the new building of “Gyumri” branch.
2006
  • Opening of “Shengavit” branch of the Bank.
  • Opening of “Echmiatsin” branch of the Bank.
  • The bank was awarded the Citibank prize.
  • The bank was awarded the prize of the RA Bank Deposits Reimbursement Guarantee Fund.
  • Organization of the III International Symposium dedicated to money transportation (Yerevan).
  • In February, the Bank became a full member of VISA International.
2007
  • In 2007 the Bank signed co-financing loan agreement with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for extension of large loans.
  • Micro, small and medium business lending agreement with the EBRD.
  • Agreement with the Rural Finance Facility - project implementation unit financed by the World Bank for implementation of loan program for promoting agricultural activities.
2008
  • Opening of “Davtashen” branch (c. Yerevan).
  • Opening of Vanadzor branch (c. Vanadzor).
2009-2010
  • Lebanese “Credit Bank” SAL obtained shareholding of the Bank.

2011․
  • Opening of the new Head office building of the Bank at 13 Vardanants str, c. Yerevan. New address, new opportunities
  • Opening of “Baghramyan” branch of the Bank (c. Yerevan).
2012
  • The Bank became the member of “Bistraya pochta” remittance system
2013
  • September 17, 2013 Mr. Nerses Karamanukyan appointed as the Chairman of the Management Board of the Bank
2014
  • February 7, 2014 - reopening of Davtashen branch of the Bank at 11/91 Davtashen 4th micro region.
  • Start-up of the call center of the Bank.
  • The Bank became the member of «Intel Express», «Tandem Transfers», «Avers», «Sigue Money Transfer», «Unistream» remittance systems.
  • Opening of “Malatia” branch of the Bank (Raffi 39/61, c. Yerevan).
  • The Bank has been awarded international quality management certificate ISO 9001:2008 2015.
2015
  • The Bank became the member of «Converse Transfer» remittance system.
  • Opening of “Tigran Mets” branch at Tigran Mets 4, Kentron community
  • The Bank has been awarded international quality management certificate ISO/IEC 27001:2013.
2016
  • Opening of new “Erebuni” branch at Erebuni 7/60, Erebuni community.
  • The new shareholder of the Bank “Fistoco” Ltd increased the charter capital of Anelik Bank CSC by 21.8 billion AMD.
  • Mr. Vartan Dilanyan appointed as the Chairman of the Council of the Bank.
2017
  • Moody’s Investors Service Agency awarded Anelik Bank rating B2 for “Long term deposits in local and foreign currencies” with the stable perspective.
2018
  • By the decision of the Extraordinary General Meeting of 22.12.2017 of the shareholders of "Anelik Bank" CJSC, "Anelik Bank" CJSC was renamed "ID Bank" CJSC and in 2018 It has been presented to the public under a new brand name since June 4.
  • On December 19, 2018, Mher Abrahamyan was appointed as the Chairman of the Board of the Bank.
2019
  • Since 2019, the IDBank Call Center has been working 24/7.
  • On April 26, 2019, the Bank's branch in Echmiadzin was reopened at 16 Khorenatsi Street in Echmiadzin.
  • On September 25, 2019, the Bank's branch in Abovyan was reopened at the address: Tartu street, 1/1, Abovyan.
  • IDBank became the first in the banking system of Armenia to officially join the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), becoming a member of the ICC National Committee in Armenia (ICC NCA).
2020
  • IDBank opened its flagship office at 6 North Avenue.
  • IDBank was one of the first in Armenia to start using the SWIFT global payment innovation system (gpi).
  • IDBank was the first in Armenia to introduce Visa Signature premium card.
  • IDBank and Armenian Leasing Company signed a cooperation agreement.
  • IDBank is a strategic partner of the Idram Company “The Power of One dram” initiative.
  • IDBank and Idram presented an innovative digital product “Rocket line”.
  • IDBank and Fora-Bank announce a partnership.
